Job Description
Sanders Electric Motor Service serving national and international customers is seeking for motivated, skilled and experienced personnel with the ability to work in groups and individually in the following area:
Equipment Mechanic jobs description
We are looking for a bright, hardworking mechanic to disassemble/reassemble and repair electric motors, pumps and gearboxes with the following experience and skills:
Qualifications
• Measuring AC stators, DC field frames and armatures to be able to recreate the same size and shape winding as received
• Also wind various AC and DC coils
• Taking data and being knowledgeable of things like internal connections, turns, wire count, wires in hand, wire size, wire span, etc.
• Cleaning winding cores and preparing them for insulation
• Insulating and designing insulation systems for winding cores and winding systems
• Manufacturing coils from copper to be reinserted into winding cores
• Installing/inserting various coils into various winding cores
• Welding copper connections
• Operating various test equipment to vet new and old windings
• Installing bearings
Other requirements for this position are:
• Extreme attention to detail
• Willing to help in other areas of the shop when there is no rewind work
