Job Description

is an Electric Motor Repair and Sales Company in Pennsauken, NJ. Our company prides itself on maintaining a clean facility, providing quality service to our customers and employing and retaining great people. At Jarvis Electric Motors, we offer motor rebuilding services for AC and DC motors up to 200 horsepower. We also service all types of pumps, blowers, and fans, gear reducers, electric hoists, industrial power tools, and electric motor related apparatus.

We are currently seeking an Electric Motor Mechanic to join our shop.

Job Description:

Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test, modify and repair electric motor units. Ensures systems and components meet established specifications. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of relevant motor repair work experience in a similar role; or a equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the testing and repair of mechanical assemblies, pumps, gearboxes components. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills; written and verbal. Ability to work in a group as well as independently. In depth experience in troubleshooting and servicing a variety of electro-mechanical equipment with an emphasis on industrial electric motors and pump. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Prior experience at an electric motor shop a plus.
