Job Summary
Hopkins Machine Corp. is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist proficient in setup, programming adjustments, and operation of CNC Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM) and CNC Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL). This role focuses on precision machining of large, complex industrial components with strict tolerance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Setup, edit G-code, and operate multi-axis CNC Horizontal Boring Mills and CNC Vertical Turret Lathes.

• Perform complex setups for large-format industrial castings, forgings, and fabricated assemblies.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, bore gauges, depth mics, height gauges) to ensure tight tolerances.

• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) callouts, and customer specifications.

• Inspect finished parts, complete quality documentation, and maintain clean workspace protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Horizontal Boring Mills and/or CNC VTLs.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and G-code editing at the machine control interface.

• Rigging & Material Handling: Experience using overhead cranes (7.5-ton to 10-ton capacity) and heavy forklifts for safe part loading and maneuvering.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Machinist Trade Certification or Vocational Training preferred.
