We serve critical manufacturing, processing, and heavy industrial plants by delivering expert mechanical restoration and rapid turnaround for complex drive systems.

Position Summary
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Industrial Millwright with extensive hands-on expertise in heavy mechanical systems. In this shop-based role, you will be responsible for the complete teardown, technical specification, thorough disassembly, precision reassembly, and expert alignment of complex industrial gearboxes and power transmission components.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 10 years of heavy industrial millwright or gearbox rebuilding experience, demonstrating master-level skill in setting tight-tolerance internal components, including setting bearings and aligning internal gearing.

Key Responsibilities
• Teardown & Technical Inspection: Perform complete visual and dimensional inspections of incoming industrial gearboxes, documenting wear, damage, and failure modes.

• Disassembly & Specing: Disassemble heavy multi-stage gearboxes, shafts, and housings safely; measure and record precise specifications for shafts, bores, and housing fits.

• Component Rebuilding & Repair: Evaluate gears, pinions, bearings, seals, and housings; coordinate machining, welding, or replacement as required.

• Precision Assembly & Setup: Reassemble gearboxes to strict engineering tolerances, ensuring correct backlash, gear tooth contact patterns, and shaft float.

• Bearing & Gearing Adjustment: Expertly set, shim, and preload various bearing types (tapered roller, spherical, cylindrical, etc.) and precisely set internal gearing alignment.

• Quality Testing & Documentation: Conduct final mechanical rotation checks, backlash measurements, and comprehensive quality documentation prior to customer delivery.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on industrial millwright, heavy machinery repair, or industrial gearbox rebuilding experience.

• Mechanical Mastery: Deep technical knowledge of industrial power transmission, mechanical drives, and rotating equipment.

• Core Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in opening, inspecting, and specing heavy gearboxes; setting precise bearing clearances; and aligning internal gearing.

• Precision Measurement: Expert capability using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth micrometers.

• Rigging & Safety: Certified or highly experienced in safe overhead crane operation, rigging, and heavy material handling within a shop environment.

• Application Requirement: Resume and detailed employment background required for consideration.

Compensation & Benefits Package
• Competitive Pay Structure: Highly competitive compensation package commensurate with your extensive experience.

• Call for Details: Contact our management team directly to discuss pay rates, shift details, and comprehensive benefit offerings.

• Comprehensive Benefits: Includes health coverage, retirement options, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays (details provided upon inquiry).
