currently seeking an EXPERIENCED MANUAL MACHINIST in the greater Hickory, NC

JOIN OUR TEAM!
The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of hands-on experience operating manual
machines, including engine lathes, vertical mills, and vertical boring mills. This is a
critical role requiring precision, technical skill, and a strong understanding of machining
processes for custom and production work.
SHIFT: 7am -3:30pm Mon-Fri (optional Saturdays with OT available)
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate manual engine lathes, vertical mills, and vertical boring
mills
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop sketches
• Perform accurate measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other
precision tools
• Maintain tight tolerances on machined components
• Select appropriate tooling and speeds/feeds for various materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure high-quality output
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a manual machinist
• Proficient in machining a wide range of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless,
etc.)
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and shop mathematics
• Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with large-part machining or heavy industrial components
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Live near or be willing to relocate to the greater Hickory, NC area.
