Job Description
Zaskoda Repair — Caldwell, Texas
Zaskoda Repair is seeking an experienced Generator Technician to join our team serving customers in Caldwell and the surrounding College Station, Texas area. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician with at least 4 years of generator service and repair experience who is comfortable working in the field on residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal generator systems.
Position Overview
The Generator Technician will perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, and repair calls on generator systems. Our work is primarily focused on Kohler and Generac generators up to 100 kW, along with municipal generator units up to approximately 250 kW.
Technicians will spend significant time in the field responding to customer service and repair calls, performing preventative maintenance, identifying mechanical and electrical problems, and getting generator systems back into reliable operating condition.
Cummins Onan experience is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair generator systems.
• Primarily work on Kohler and Generac generators up to 100 kW.
• Service and repair municipal generator systems up to 250 kW.
• Respond to field service and repair calls throughout the service area.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Change engine oil and oil filters.
• Replace air, fuel, and other service filters as required.
• Inspect generator engines, electrical systems, controls, batteries, and related components.
• Run and test generators following maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, electrical, mechanical, and operational problems.
• Complete service calls professionally and document work performed.
• Communicate with customers regarding equipment condition and recommended repairs.
• Maintain a safe, organized service vehicle and work environment.
Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years of generator technician/service experience.
• Hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting generators.
• Kohler and/or Generac experience strongly preferred.
• Cummins Onan experience is a major plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical problems.
• Comfortable working independently in the field.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to work safely around energized electrical equipment and running engines.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Zaskoda Repair is an authorized repair center for Lincoln, Miller, Hobart, SanRex, Kohler, Fronius, Generac, Hypertherm, and ESAB, providing technicians with exposure to a broad range of professional welding, power-generation, and industrial equipment.
