Job Description

Electrical Motor Repair Technician Job Opening:
We are a premier ISO9001:2015 CERTIFIED industrial repair and manufacturing facility. Our nation- wide customer base includes power generation, industrial manufacturing including heavy steel manufacturing, municipal and processing facilities. We are currently seeking to fill the following position: Electrical Motor Repair Technician
· Receive and interpret oral/written instructions from supervisor(s) and/or assigned personnel.
· Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC).
· Disassemble and assemble electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition.
· Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including but not limited to: parts washers, steamers, blasters, etc.
· Measure and inspect the parts per provided instructions and fill out proper data sheets.
· Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies, including but not limited to: bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, rotors, tachs, fans, end shields, etc. per provided instruction.
· Engage in retesting reassembled electromechanical equipment for proper output and operation.
· Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
· Abide by all safety/environmental regulations and use proper protective gear.
· May be assigned to field to support service work as required.
· Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications:
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
· 2+ years of relevant electrical experience
· Good written and oral communication skills
· Self-motivated
· Ability to multi-task
· Organized and detail oriented
· Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:
· Able to stand, walk, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch for most of the day
· Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds,
· Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
· Have ability for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Desirable:
· Familiarity with computer.
· Ability to perform welding, soldering & brazing.
· Balance rotating equipment.
Pay range: Commensurate with experience, from $30-$45 per hour
Overtime:Â We pay overtime for hours worked over 8 per day and any Saturday work; double time for Sunday work
Shift: 6:30am-5:00pm Monday-Saturday; some Sundays. We guarantee 40 hours per week; overtime is currently available.
Relocation package may be considered.
