Job Description

We are currently hiring for an Electric Motor Mechanic to join our team.

Our electric motor mechanic is responsible for the winding, disassembly, inspection, assembly and testing of electric motors and pumps. Duties include assembly of electric motors and pumps, electrically testing, and test running electric motors. Our facility repairs AC, DC, electric motors and pumps from fractional through 200 HP.

We are a rapidly growing company with a long history in the business, with a team focused, goal-oriented group of individuals who have many years of experiences to share.

Job Duties:

1. Disassembly, assembly and testing of electric motors, pumps and gearboxes.
2. Uploading measurements, images and other required data into our cloud-based quality management and reporting software, utilizing computer tablets.
3. Operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
4. Use of insulation resistance testers, hi-potential meters, ohm testers, micrometers, and AC and DC test panels

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Attributes:

1. Expected to be able to work independently and with others depending on scope of work.
2. Ability to communicate effectively with company management team and other employees.
3. Must be able to perform generic physical activities common to the electric motor repair trade.
4. Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work.
5. Positive attitude.
6. Prior experience at electric motor shop a plus.
7. Knowledge of winding techniques such as random, wave, Lap, etc.
8. Committed to safety.
