Job Description

Position Title: Winding Apprentice

 Position Requirements:

  • Basic mechanical hand tool knowledge
  • Basic measurement knowledge (standard and metric)
  • Ability to document equipment conditions in an organized fashion (Ipad, electronically)
  • Ability to stand approximately 8 hours a day (1/2 hr. lunch plus 15 min break)
  • Adhere to companies work and safety policies
  • Basic math skills and use of calculator

Job Location/Travel Radius: Positions open in both Toledo and Detroit

 Shift:

  • DET – Full time 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (overtime when needed based on workload)
  • TOL- Full time 7:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday (overtime when needed based on workload)
  • Part time – (work schedule to be coordinated with supervisor)

 Job Duties:

  • Disassembly, inspection (with supervision) of electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Assembly, testing, and painting (with supervision) of electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Winding and inserting coils (with supervision) in stators and related components
  • Light cleaning and pressure washing of equipment components
  • General labor around the shop (cleaning, organizing, assisting) where needed

Rate of Pay: $18 per hour (negotiable based on knowledge/experience) overtime available
