We are currently offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus ($5,000 payable after 90-days of employment, $5,000 payable after 180 days of employment) and relocation assistance for EPG Training Instructor new hires.

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a EPG Training Instructor in Elkridge, Maryland. The EPG Training Instructor is responsible for organizing, conducting and evaluating technical training courses and projects. Will develop training aids and maintain up-to-date training materials to support courses and projects. In this position, you may be called upon to assist in service related problems. Flexibility and in-depth product knowledge/experience are necessary for this position. Seeking candidates with bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred or Diesel Technology, Electrical, or power generation industry experience, required. Experience presenting material in an engaging manner preferred but training will be provided.

Requirements for the EPG Training Instructor position include:

• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Must be able to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Must be able to design and implement effective training and development.
• Must be able to travel with overnight travel required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
• Promote a positive customer experience.

Physical requirements must be met for the Training Instructor job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
