Job Description

Job Title: In-house Service Technician

Reports to: Service Director

Summary:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems and components both in-house and off site (customers and other locations). Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components. Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs. Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain up-to-date information related to compressor technology, on-going focus on sharpening mechanical and diagnostic abilities to ensure customer satisfaction

· Ability to learn how to assemble and disassemble compressors; to fully understand repair issues

· Understand and abide by safety procedures and policies

· Work effectively with customers to ensure call meets/exceeds customer expectations. Willing to go the “extra mile” to exceed customer expectations

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

· Repair and maintain compressed air equipment, hydraulic systems, and vacuum equipment

· Engage in training opportunities

Qualifications:

· 1-2 years of service repair experience preferred

· 1-2 years of mechanical/industry-based experience

· Experience with mobile truck service a plus

· Professionally trained in compressed air mechanics a plus

· Measuring tool skills

· Ability to rebuild units and thoroughly understand the complexity of the equipment

· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure or deadlines

· Clean driving record

· Ability to pass drug screening

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

· The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, and walk.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

· Use of computer, phone and other general office equipment.
