We are currently seeking an Electric Motor Winder to join our team!

Job Summary: The experienced Winding Technician will have working knowledge of electric motor repair shop services whereas the entry level candidates will be taught to prepare/strip stators and/or armatures for AC/DC electric motors and special equipment by performing the following duties. Familiarity with Random, basket, mesh, stator and Rotor winding a plus

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Take physical measurements, electrical measurements, and verify connections of winding, Strip and remove windings, Core loss test laminations, Take data, Cut winding head precisely with abrasive saw, Heat windings to around 400 Fahrenheit, Hydraulically extract coils, Remove remaining insulation and insulation paper, Clean, scrape, sand, file and deburr lamination steel core for rewinding, Insert coils into lamination slots according to connection data, Prepare winding slot insulation by measuring, cutting, folding and creasing, Tape coils with insulation tape, Assist with dipping, trickling, vacuum pressure, and encapsulation of windings.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and able to stand/walk for extended periods. • Must be willing to work overtime and around the Shop as needed.
