Job Description
Shop Supervisor
D-Electric, Inc. is the service division of Bearing & Drive Solutions and is located in Quakertown PA. We are an Industrial Electro/mechanical repair facility. We rebuild 1 & 3 phase AC electric motors as well as DC motors, gear reducers and pumps among other equipment. We also provide on site services at customers facilities as well.
We have a need for a shop supervisor. This is a full time day shift position in our Quakertown facility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial field
- 3 years’ experience in a management role, managing people
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computer / Microsoft office knowledge
- Strong knowledge and background in mechanical field
- Strong Industrial Electrical knowledge is a definite plus
- General knowledge of 3 phase motors, generators, pumps & gearbox’s
- Knowledge of 480 volt 3 phase system
Duties:
- Lead and direct all shop personnel in their daily assignments
- Prioritize and schedule shop jobs
- Responsible for shop maintenance and upkeep
- Take a leading role in shop/employee training
- Promote and maintain a safety oriented work environment
- Maintain good communications with shop and office employees
- Maintain good communication with sales group
- Take responsibility for answering after hours calls
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities
- Create reports as needed
- Other duties as assigned
