Best Repair Company, Inc. is a locally-owned full-service mechanical and electrical repairs & maintenance service provider in Norfolk VA. With over 60 years of experience, we have proven to be a reputable and highly competent commercial, industrial, and marine service provider.
We are currently seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Shop Manager. The candidate must have 10 – 15 years of AC & DC motor, pump and generator repair work. Must have experience with both random & form coil winding and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The shop manager is responsible for overseeing the daily shop operations, ensuring that staff members perform their duties to address customers’ needs and deadlines. The shop foreman manages staffing schedules, trains new employees, and distributes assignments. This individual is also responsible for achieving and maintaining strict quality standards.
Required skills and experience:
Prior experience managing an electro-mechanical company is preferred. Must have excellent leadership and communications skills and a proven ability to work with difficult employees and demanding customers. Must also be highly organized with excellent problem solving skills and an uncompromising commitment to the highest level of quality and workmanship
