Job Description

HECO is hiring in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. We now service steel mills, auto manufacturers, energy, and pharmaceutical companies throughout the Midwest.

We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative.

Job Description:

The sales person will focus on developing additional business and assist in growing already established customers. The Sales person will cold call on and support businesses in the industrial fields. Develop and maintain working relationships with key decision-makers within current and prospective customers. Create a sales plan for accounts within a defined territory, and be responsible for account development, sales volume, and long-term business relationships. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual goals assigned by management. Strong professional presence, customer focus, and positive attitude. Ability to build strong relationships. Ability to work within a team environment. Overnight travel required as needed (must have/maintain valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Qualifications:

Minimum two years sales experience in a related field (five years preferred). Experience dealing in the sale of selling electrical supplies, electric motors, pumps, VFD, power transmission equipment and controls. Must possess strong organizational, customer service and communication skills. Should possess a team player attitude and be self-motivated. Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other computer programs is a plus. Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for tracking sales activities preferred. Must have a clean driving record & knowledge of geographical area. Previous sales experience not required but strongly preferred. Responsibilities include but not limited to supporting outside sales staff, providing customers with proposals, product information and regular vendor contact including expediting open order.
