Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Machinist to join our shop!

Job Responsibilities:

Excellent benefits and wages for Journeyman Machinists with experience setting up & running MANUAL and CNC Horizontal Boring Mills, Vertical Turret Lathes, & other typical machine shop tools (Lathes, Mills, Drill Press, etc). We specialize in machining large, custom machinery components, generally small quantities, non-aircraft, close-tolerance work, in a clean, well-organized job shop environment. A good working knowledge of trigonometry, shop math, ability to read & interpret machining drawings is required.

Starting wage for this position varies, depending on experience. However, wages for Journeyman Machinists at Harbor Island Machine, equal, or exceed those paid by other local shops with similar capabilities. We offer outstanding benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and accident-sickness insurance, with premiums paid 100% by the company for our employees & the majority of insurance benefits paid for their dependents. We also offer a 401k with employer match, year end bonus, paid holidays and paid vacation.
