Job Description

Delaplane, Va. based service company seeks individual to fill Level I Service Technician’s position to assist with maintenance and service of various backup power systems. The primary job duties will include yearly routine and preventative maintenance of backup power systems to include (limited) corrective maintenance tasks that include oil and filter changes, spark plugs/distributor/coil checks, NG and LP pressure checks, diesel fuel systems checks, battery checks/replacement, coolant system testing, basic component/sensor checks with electrical component testing and replacement. Computer skills are required for this position. The jobs are located throughout NoVA, DC and Suburban MD.

The applicant MUST be at least 23 years of age, legal to work in the US, able to pass initial and random drug testing and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Applicants with commercial drivers licenses are highly encouraged to apply. Due to insurance requirements we cannot hire anyone under 23 years of age – without exception – and we do use E-verify for all applicants.

The applicant must be able to work in random interior and exterior working environments year round, be able to lift 80-100 pounds and work overtime to include weekends. The applicant will be responsible for keeping job vehicles stocked with materials at all times, assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment, be able to keep paperwork in order and perform various other duties as directed. The applicant must possess an aptitude to working towards a goal of completion and understand basic time management.

The applicant is applying for an entry level position with advancement opportunities. The position starts at $22.50 with a company benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance paid by company, 401K with company matching, holidays and vacation with company paid training. The working environment is drug free and tobacco free.
