Job Description

HECO is hiring in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. We now service steel mills, auto manufacturers, energy, and pharmaceutical companies throughout the Midwest.

We are currently seeking an Field Service Technician to join our shop.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electric motor equipment at customers’ location(s).

Key Tasks and Requirements

Inspect, diagnose and perform major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves and related equipment. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, engines and compressors. Repair wastewater lift stations, storm drain stations, and water transfer pumps. Troubleshoot, diagnose, disassemble, evaluate and repair waste-water, booster pumps and pump systems on site at customers locations.

Knowledge and Experience:

Preferred experience working in electrical service repair of rotating electric/mechanical apparatus. However, experience in mechanical maintenance products and industry-specific knowledge will do.

Valid Drivers License. Experience with cranes and rigging is a plus. Able to perform basic math functions. Able to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures. Able to work overtime and weekends as required.
