Electric Motor Rewinder – jobs description

We rewind and repair electric motors  and pumps up to 1500 HP, random winding and coil winding. We are currently looking for a bright, hardworking motor winder/rewinder with the following experience and skills:

Qualifications

• Measuring AC stators, DC field frames and armatures to be able to recreate the same size and shape winding as received
• Also various AC and DC coils
• Taking data and being knowledgeable of things like internal connections, turns, wire count, wires in hand, wire size, wire span, etc.
• Cleaning winding cores and preparing them for insulation
• Insulating and designing insulation systems for winding cores and winding systems
• Manufacturing coils from copper to be reinserted into winding cores
• Installing/inserting various coils into various winding cores
• Welding copper connections
• Operating various test equipment to vet new and old windings
• Installing bearings

Other requirements for this position are:

• Extreme attention to detail
• Willing to help in other areas of the shop when there is no rewind work
