Job Description

DMH is a full service Electric Motor company with a service area for repairs covering Washington and Alaska and nationwide for motor replacement.

Electric Motor Repair Technician Trainee (entry position)

Responsibilities:

Pickup and delivery of customer motors.

Pickup and delivery of vendor materials.

Assisting winders and mechanic in disassembly and assembly of motors

Cleaning parts and assist in all phases of motor repair.

Assist in all phases of motor repair.

Load and unload motors with forklift

General assistance in supporting team members.

Training:

· Learn to Perform repairs (rebuild and recondition) and maintenance of electric motors and related equipment.

· Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical.

· and mechanical issues in motors.

· Learn use of electrical and mechanical testing equipment.

· Learn basics of winding electric motors

· Become certified in the use of electric forklift.

· Learn MotorBase Shop Software.

Requirements:

· Perform repairs and maintenance on electric motors and related equipment

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in motors

· Rebuild and recondition electric motors to meet customer specifications

· Strong Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

· Mechanical aptitude.

· Basic experience with computers.

· Willingness to learn.

· Interest in an electrical and mechanical career.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations

· High school diploma or equivalent required, preferred

· 0+ years of experience in electric motor repair and maintenance

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
