Job Description

A&M Custom Machine, Inc. is seeking a motivated, detailed oriented, talented, mechanically inclined and/or experienced Machinist who has the skills to produce parts print to finish on both Manual & CNC Lathes and Mills. Our CNC machines include a Kent knee mill, Fanuc Lathe with 4.5″ thru hole, and EZPath Bridgeport Lathe, and a Fanuc Mill with a large table. We use manual mills and lathes daily as well. We weld on all sorts of parts and materials. The right individual likes a small, fast paced environment, with lots of variety daily. We are seeking an individual with the mechanical aptitude and nature suited to our shop. Daily tasks to include, but are not limited to, programming, set-up, and operating CNC Lathes and Mills as well as Conventional Mills and Lathes. You must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English. We would expect that you take pride in your work, are hardworking, motivated, committed, have a good attitude and are a team player. Preferable skills include: Naturally mechanical with willingness to learn machining and welding skills, or proficient in Welding, Manual machining, CNC and conversational controls, as well as set ups and upholding and adhering to production standards. You are expected to inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary. Maintain clean and safe work environment.

A&M Custom Machine, Inc. is seeking an individual with a variety of work experiences that have developed their ability to use good judgment in creating an efficient process to complete the job. The knowledge and skill necessary to demonstrate use of the Manual and CNC machines we use is required and will be taught to the right individual. Gibbs Cam, Auto CAD, and Solid Work experience is a plus.
