MEM Industrial, LLC is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Winder to join our motor repair team in Wichita, KS. We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on electric motor winding experience. This position focuses exclusively on AC and DC electric motor repair—no generators or transformers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience rewinding, rebuilding, testing, and troubleshooting industrial electric motors up to 2,500 HP while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and quality.

Responsibilities
• Rewind and repair industrial AC and DC electric motors up to 2,500 horsepower.
• Perform random winding and form coil winding on a wide variety of motor designs.
• Remove, document, and install stator windings according to OEM specifications.
• Read and interpret winding diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Perform coil forming, insulating, lacing, varnishing, and final assembly.
• Conduct electrical testing, including insulation resistance, surge comparison, and continuity testing.
• Inspect rotors, stators, bearings, shafts, and related motor components.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of electric motor winding experience.
• Extensive knowledge of random winding and form coil winding techniques.
• Experience repairing industrial AC/DC electric motors up to 2,500 HP.
• Ability to read winding data, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to safely handle large industrial motors using cranes and lifting equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with high-voltage industrial motors.
• Familiarity with EASA repair practices and industry standards.
• Mechanical assembly and bearing replacement experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and positive work ethic.

The Electric Motor Rewinder will be responsible for the repair, rebuilding, and rewinding of AC electric motors, including single-phase and three-phase motors up to 500 HP. This role focuses strictly on AC systems (no DC motors) and requires hands-on experience with both random and form (mash) winding techniques.

• Perform complete teardown, inspection, and rebuild of AC electric motors
• Execute random and form coil (mash) winding procedures
