Hydra Service, Inc. (HSI) is a full-service pump and process equipment distributor with over 65,000 sq. ft. of repair facilities, including a dedicated pump repair shop, electric motor rewind shop, machine shop, and dual test pits.

We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Rewinder to join our team and support our growing service operations across the Gulf Coast region.

⚙️ Position Overview
The Electric Motor Rewinder will be responsible for the repair, rebuilding, and rewinding of AC electric motors, including single-phase and three-phase motors up to 500 HP. This role focuses strictly on AC systems (no DC motors) and requires hands-on experience with both random and form (mash) winding techniques.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Perform complete teardown, inspection, and rebuild of AC electric motors
• Execute random and form coil (mash) winding procedures
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical motor failures
• Reassemble, test, and ensure proper operation of motors
• Work on related equipment including pumps and gearboxes
• Utilize shop equipment including winding machines, burn-off ovens, and test systems
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment

📋 Qualifications
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electric motor repair and rewinding
• Strong knowledge of AC motors (single-phase and 3-phase up to 500 HP)
• Ability to read schematics, winding data, and technical diagrams
• Experience working in a repair shop or industrial environment
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
